About The Position

Nucor Steel Berkeley is seeking an Entry‑Level Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early‑career professionals (up to 5 years of experience) who want hands‑on experience, real responsibility, and long‑term growth opportunities in a manufacturing environment. This position reports to the Accounting Manager. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. This role builds a strong foundation for growth. Opportunities may include increased responsibility, audit support, specialization in cost or inventory accounting, and advancement into senior or leadership roles. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Relevant coursework or academic projects will be considered

Nice To Haves

• Internship, co‑op, or early‑career accounting or finance experience
• Interest in pursuing CMA certification or a related graduate degree
• Manufacturing or cost accounting exposure
• Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems
• Willingness to relocate for future opportunities within Nucor

Responsibilities

• Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Supporting cash management, inventory accounting, and fixed asset management
• Assisting with forecasting, cost analysis, and expense reviews
• Supporting special projects and process improvements
• Working collaboratively with finance, operations, and other departments
