About The Position

The Entertainment Technician (LIVE Tech) is responsible for assisting in the setup and configuration of all systems related to Audio, Video, and Lighting. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues during events, pinpointing faults and remedies, and supporting, maintaining, and administering key applications and hardware. The position requires developing and maintaining positive working relationships with the Hard Rock team, clients, and guests, and performing daily preshow walkthroughs to ensure the venue is organized, clean, and safe. The technician must ensure the complete satisfaction of each guest.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of L’Acoustics KUDO line array and BSS Omnidrive speaker management
  • Audio consoles, FOH, Monitor consoles (Digital and Analog)
  • Routing and interfacing throughout venue
  • Knowledge of all Mics, types, kinds and methods of operation
  • Video knowledge of TV One Mixer, Panasonic MX-50 mixer
  • Projector systems: Front, Rear, with VGA, DVI, RGBHV connections
  • Video systems and formats, BETA, DVD, DVCAM, DV
  • Switchers/Scalers/Converters: Data/Video switchers and scalers, Matrix
  • Knowledge of lighting desk, programming of moving light fixtures
  • Conventional and intelligent lighting
  • Performing duties which require bending & reaching
  • Able to lift up to 50-pounds
  • Standing or walking on the floor, for up to 8+ hours
  • Maintaining a well-groomed appearance (“having a plan”)
  • Following all uniform guidelines
  • Practicing all safety & sanitation standards
  • Recycling products, where possible
  • Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere
  • Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency

Responsibilities
