About The Position

This role is for an Entertainment Supervisor with a duration of 3 months, located in Universal City, CA. The position involves providing duty coverage for events, including media shoots and PR events, ensuring timely opening of venues and efficient daily operations. The supervisor will assist in maintaining the integrity and operation of events, partnering with management and escalating issues as needed. A key part of the role is providing direction, development, and support to seasonal staff, performers, partners, and employees, including addressing disciplinary and performance issues, providing recognition, and coaching. The supervisor will collaborate with other park operating departments, leaders, and stakeholders, and ensure all safety concerns, incidents, injuries, and discipline issues are resolved and reported appropriately. The role also requires learning and adhering to union contracts and guidelines, ensuring compliance training is completed, and actively participating in Environmental, Health, and Safety responsibilities. Discretion with intellectual property and proprietary information is essential. The supervisor will prepare event documentation and perform clerical duties using Microsoft Office proficiency, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in event management, theme park operations or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years entertainment experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides duty coverage for event, including media shoots + PR events.
  • Ensure timely opening of venues and efficient operations on a daily basis.
  • Assists in maintaining integrity and operation of the event; partners with management and elevates issues as needed.
  • Provides direction, development, and support to Seasonal staff, performers, partners, and employees.
  • Communicate feedback and address all disciplinary & performance issues, providing recognition, and coaching.
  • Collaborates efficiently with other park operating departments, leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ensures all safety concerns, incidents, injuries, and discipline issues are resolved and reported appropriately.
  • Learns and adheres to all union contracts and guidelines.
  • Ensure that all compliance training/requirements are developed, updated, and completed in accordance with plan and deadlines.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training, and employee involvement activities. Includes completion of I&I, housekeeping and/or other safety follow‐up documentation as required for department.
  • Demonstrate appropriate discretion with IP and proprietary information for all creative and internal communications.
  • Prepares event documentation/materials and performs clerical duties as needed (requires Microsoft Office proficiency).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
