About The Position
The Entertainment Host at The 842 will be responsible for providing unique entertainment for students. This role involves hosting events, managing equipment, and communicating with staff to ensure a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. The space is equipped with a small stage, sound system, microphones, and TVs that can be integrated into entertainment productions.
Requirements
- Willingness to work with others
- Good communication skills
- Available to work nights and weekends
- Currently authorized to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Management
- Hospitality experience
- Working in group settings
Responsibilities
- Provide unique entertainment for students to enjoy
- Provide a welcoming atmosphere
- Report broken or malfunctioning equipment
- Host Karaoke using provided microphones, speakers, and laptop-to-TV connectors
- Communicate with The 1842 staff
- Manage singer sign-up lists in a fair and unbiased manner
