About The Position

The Enterprise Transformation Project Manager leads cross-functional initiatives that advance the organization’s strategic priorities, improve business performance, and strengthen the customer and employee experience. This role translates strategy into executable plans, aligns stakeholders around shared outcomes, and guides initiatives from discovery and business-case development through implementation, adoption, and benefits realization. This highly visible role operates across business and technology functions, processes, people, data, and enabling capabilities. The position partners with executive sponsors, operational leaders, subject-matter experts, change champions, and external partners to simplify work, build organizational readiness, and deliver sustainable, measurable value. Technology may support some initiatives, but the role’s primary focus is business transformation and successful adoption.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience leading cross-functional projects, transformation programs, operational improvement, organizational change, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into executable plans and deliver measurable business outcomes in a complex organization.
  • Experience with process analysis, facilitation, business-case development, governance, risk management, and benefits realization.
  • Strong change-leadership skills, including stakeholder assessment, communications, readiness, training, adoption, and reinforcement.
  • Excellent relationship-building, facilitation, influencing, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, resolve problems, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical judgment and the ability to use data and performance measures to guide decisions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, organizational development, project management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, CAPM, Agile, Prosci, Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable project, change, or continuous-improvement certification.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide transformation, operating-model redesign, business integration, or large-scale process improvement.
  • Experience in distribution, supply chain, food service, or another operationally complex environment.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise systems and data-enabled change, with the ability to partner effectively with technical specialists without serving as the technical owner.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise transformation initiatives spanning operating models, business processes, organizational capabilities, customer experience, and enabling solutions.
  • Partner with executive sponsors and business leaders to define the case for change, desired outcomes, scope, success measures, and governance.
  • Maintain a tight working relationship across the business and technology leaders to drive forward strategic projects whether they are business-driven, technology-driven, or a combination of both.
  • Translate strategic priorities into transformation roadmaps, integrated work plans, milestones, resource requirements, and accountable ownership.
  • Facilitate current-state assessments, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process mapping to identify root causes, opportunities, and dependencies.
  • Design and coordinate future-state processes, roles, decision rights, controls, and performance measures with cross-functional teams.
  • Build alignment across departments, resolve competing priorities, and support timely decisions through clear options, recommendations, and escalation paths.
  • Lead change-impact assessments and organizational readiness activities; partner with leaders on communications, training, engagement, and reinforcement plans.
  • Establish practical governance and facilitate kickoff meetings, working sessions, status reviews, steering committee updates, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Manage initiative scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and changes while maintaining focus on strategic outcomes.
  • Define baselines, key performance indicators, and benefit measures; track adoption, operational results, and value realization after implementation.
  • Coordinate internal teams, external partners, and vendors, ensuring deliverables meet business requirements and support the intended transformation.
  • Provide concise, decision-oriented reporting on progress, financials, risks, outcomes, and actions to sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Embed continuous-improvement practices, capture lessons learned, and help business teams sustain new ways of working.
  • Coach employees and project participants in transformation, project management, problem-solving, and change leadership practices.
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal controls are followed.
  • Travel occasionally to branches, operating locations, and conferences as needed.
  • All employees are responsible for food safety and are expected to notify the appropriate manager, supervisor, or key personnel if they witness any compromise to food safety or food quality.
  • Own and maintain the transformation charter, business case, roadmap, governance materials, integrated plan, and close-out records.
  • Develop and own company standards for project management and other tools as needed.
  • Document current-state findings, future-state designs, business requirements, process changes, stakeholder impacts, and accountable owners.
  • Maintain risk, issue, dependency, change, assumption, and decision records with clear ownership, approvals, and traceability.
  • Ensure readiness, communications, training, testing, transition, and partner deliverables are reviewed and approved by appropriate business owners.
  • Establish benefits baselines and maintain adoption, performance, and value-realization reporting through stabilization and handoff.
