About The Position

Join our Information Technology team as an Enterprise Systems Administrator, a dynamic role centered on Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) resilience alongside comprehensive systems management. In this hands-on position, you will play a critical role in strengthening our BC/DR capabilities—contributing to disaster recovery planning, testing, backup operations, and data protection to ensure our technology infrastructure remains resilient and recoverable. Beyond supporting our business continuity efforts, you will actively administer and optimize a diverse enterprise environment spanning Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, cloud services, and storage. You will also manage core network and firewall infrastructure, contribute to cybersecurity planning and operations, and support key business applications including Oracle E-Business Suite, TM1 Business Analytics (PAfE & PAW), EDI systems, and Manhattan Scale SaaS. Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field with 5+ years of professional experience; or 7+ years of combined professional experience of education, certifications, and training in lieu of degree
• Strong knowledge of networking, distributed systems, and enterprise infrastructure concepts
• Experience in disaster recovery planning, testing, backup and restoration, data replication, archiving, and recovery of enterprise systems (Veeam Backup & Replication software)
• Experience administering, supporting, and troubleshooting Linux systems and related enterprise infrastructure
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite and database architecture
• Experience with SaaS and Cloud based services
• Experience with Cron Scripting
• Experience with LAN/WAN (Local / Wide Area Network) and Wireless Methodology
• Experience with Active Directory Services and Azure Directory Services, including security enforcement
• Experience with VMware controller and datastore administration
• Experience with Enterprise storage administration
• Ability to respond promptly to emergency outages, both on-site and remotely, as needed
• Ability to travel domestically as needed a few times a year

Nice To Haves

• Firewall administration for internet and internal network security
• Knowledge of XDR (Extended Detection and Response) and EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) tools

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key team member supporting the development, maintenance, and execution of the organization’s IT business continuity and disaster recovery program, including planning, testing, documentation, and recovery readiness
• Contribute to the development, testing, and execution of disaster recovery plans to support data integrity, system availability, and comprehensive recovery documentation.
• Follow and support established policies and procedures and participate in semiannual disaster recovery testing to validate data replication, redundancy, and archiving controls
• Support backup and recovery strategies that promote data integrity and business continuity.
• Help implement and maintain the infrastructure required for on-site and off-site backups, data archiving, redundancy, and tape storage, and participate in restoration efforts for enterprise servers, networks, and applications during service disruptions
• Perform and help evaluate disaster recovery simulations regularly to identify gaps, validate replication and archiving processes, and support the timely restoration of critical services
• Support the maintenance of servers, networks, and databases to ensure resilience and continuity during disruptions
• Serve as a key member of the primary IT disaster recovery team and execute recovery procedures to restore systems and services as quickly and effectively as possible during business disruptions
• Support the implementation of enterprise-grade security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and data encryption, while ensuring alignment with organizational security policies and compliance requirements
• Partner with the cybersecurity team to secure the organization’s IT infrastructure, enforce security policies, manage network security and access controls, and support vulnerability management and incident response activities
• Continuously monitor networks and systems for suspicious activity, vulnerabilities, and performance issues
• Analyze, respond to, and help remediate cybersecurity incidents and attacks
• Design, implement, and maintain firewalls and network architecture; help define data protection policies; and participate in risk assessments to identify weaknesses and recommend improvements
• Administer, monitor, and optimize Linux server environments to support enterprise applications, infrastructure stability, and operational performance
• Install, configure, operate, and monitor Linux server hardware and software to maintain system health and availability
• Perform hardware and software installation, upgrades, and maintenance for enterprise servers
• Test and deploy enterprise-wide system configuration changes
• Develop Linux administration test plans and execute testing for related projects
• Create and maintain batch processing environments, including oversight of the daily batch cycle and Linux batch reporting subsystem
• Develop and evaluate complex technical solutions, system standards, and performance thresholds
• Recommend practical solutions to maximize system performance
• Support vendor coordination for hardware support and enterprise backup solutions
• Support enterprise storage administration across platforms such as HP 3PAR, Pure Storage, and cloud storage solutions
• Support and enhance network, server, and virtualization environments to maintain performance, scalability, and operational continuity
• Monitor and evaluate network performance, reliability, and scalability; troubleshoot and resolve network and security issues
• Apply hands-on troubleshooting and performance tuning expertise across firewalls, managed switches, VLANs, and routers
• Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
• Install and configure new hardware and software
• Support network planning by monitoring performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and assessing future capacity needs
• Implement and support VMware environments
• Provide Windows Server engineering and administration support
• Coordinate the maintenance of network systems
• Support the introduction and integration of new technologies into existing data center environments
• Perform routine audits of systems and software
• Create and maintain current operational documentation, including internal and external contact and escalation repositories
• Support firewall operations, policy enforcement, and network security controls to protect enterprise systems and connectivity
• Implement, upgrade, and maintain firewall hardware and software, including Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs)
• Develop, optimize, and document firewall rules and security policies to balance protection with business needs
• Analyze logs to identify suspicious activity, potential breaches, and performance bottlenecks
• Diagnose connectivity issues and support response activities for security incidents
• Support VPN client infrastructure, network segmentation, and compliance with security standards
• Provide timely technical support for users, devices, and internal application teams while maintaining service quality and responsiveness
• Log, assign, track, and verify service requests through final resolution using the internal ticketing system to support timely service and user satisfaction
• Provide troubleshooting and support for desktop and laptop computers, local and network printers, and basic Active Directory administration
• Provide technical support to internal application teams
• Support 24x7 network and infrastructure availability requirements
