We are seeking a strategic problem-solver for Guardian’s Enterprise Strategy team. In the role of Enterprise Strategy Manager, you will be part of a project team that solves complex problems, develops long-range and short-term plans for Guardian, and partners with senior leaders to identify, develop, evaluate, prioritize, and deliver strategic initiatives across the organization. You will work closely with Guardian’s Strategic Projects and Corporate Development teams, as well as senior leaders in the business units and corporate functions. The role reports to Guardian’s Head of Strategic Growth & Planning. This highly visible team is responsible for overall strategy development, executing cross-cutting strategic initiatives, and managing strategic planning processes across the enterprise. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of high-visibility projects and strategic workstreams spanning across: Strategy development – help define the strategic direction, with both near-term and long-term priorities for Guardian or specific business units. You will do this using research, analytics, logical problem solving, and strategic frameworks. Strategic planning and monitoring – translate long-term strategic priorities into operational strategic planning processes, including the setting of Objectives & Key Results and the allocation of portfolio resources toward the most high-value projects. Monitor cascading metrics and goals for business areas aligned with strategic plan. Execution of cross-cutting strategic initiatives – support cross-enterprise strategic efforts that are critical to Guardian’s overall success. Support in managing the business performance of the initiatives (for example, implement and manage processes to monitor business performance metrics aligned with the strategic plan). Strategic communications development – support the development and delivery of content for Guardian Leadership Team and Board of Directors, with a focus on strategic recommendations, progress, and priorities. New initiative exploration – in collaboration with business areas, assess and develop business cases, market sizing, and external research to drive new ideas on innovation, partnerships, and areas of investment outside BAU.
