About The Position

The Enterprise Solutions Architect designs, builds, and delivers improvements that turn member feedback, team member insight, operational friction, and business opportunities into measurable results. The role combines solution design, business and systems administration, process optimization, project management, and change management. The architect owns improvements from discovery through adoption and results, and administers key systems such as the core banking system, eSignature, workflow automation, and account origination applications. This role identifies recurring friction and root causes, prioritizes improvement opportunities, maps current and desired experiences, and leads requirements and future-state design with cross-functional partners. It develops business cases and evaluates technology options based on value, risk, cost, user impact, and scalability. The architect manages improvements through planning, implementation, testing, stabilization, and operational handoff, while coordinating vendors, releases, and integrations. The role also leads change and adoption activities, develops communications and training, and creates or updates procedures, job aids, administration guides, and knowledge articles. It measures adoption and outcomes after release, addresses gaps, reports progress and risks to the Chief Operations Officer and sponsors, and builds shared expertise through cross-training and coaching. The position is based at the Universal Branch Corporate Office in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

  • Review Project Velocity submissions, surveys, complaints, operational data, and team member feedback to identify recurring friction and root causes.
  • Distinguish isolated service issues from systemic opportunities and maintain a prioritized improvement backlog based on impact, risk, efficiency, and capacity.
  • Define baselines, desired outcomes, success measures, and accountable owners for material opportunities.
  • Map current-state journeys and processes to identify unnecessary steps, handoffs, delays, rework, and control gaps.
  • Design desired member and team member experiences and align processes, policies, technology, data, and controls to deliver them.
  • Lead discovery, requirements gathering, and future-state design with cross-functional partners, considering self-service, automation, AI, and existing technology.
  • Develop business cases with documented baselines and target outcomes; assess whether to configure, integrate, purchase, or retire technology.
  • Translate prioritized opportunities into sprints with clear scope, outcomes, owners, and acceptance criteria.
  • Own multiple cross-functional improvements from pre-planning through operations, managing scope, schedule, resources, budget, risks, dependencies, decisions, testing, and stabilization.
  • Administer key systems, including the core banking system, eSignature, account origination, and other programs supporting member experience and operations; configure approved settings, workflows, and permissions within established change controls.
  • Coordinate vendors, releases, and integrations with Technology, Information Security, Risk, Compliance, and business owners; lead user acceptance testing.
  • Complete implementation reviews and confirm results against approved plans.
  • Provide concise updates, surface risks and tradeoffs, and escalate material issues with recommended options.
  • Assess how changes affect roles, workflows, controls, and member interactions, involving affected team members and leaders in design and testing.
  • Develop communications and training plans, anticipate resistance and confusion, and coordinate job aids, go-live support, and post-launch reinforcement.
  • Create or update procedures, job aids, administration guides, and knowledge articles; document decision points, exceptions, controls, ownership, system configuration, testing, training, and decisions; retire outdated or conflicting guidance.
  • Measure adoption and outcomes after release, tracking member effort and satisfaction, turnaround time, hours saved, manual touches eliminated, error reduction, and cost avoided against baselines and targets.
  • Track system adoption, reliability, exceptions, manual workarounds, and vendor performance; address material gaps and underused functionality.
  • Use post-launch data to refine improvements, take corrective action, and report backlog health, delivery, benefits, capacity constraints, systemic risks, and decisions needed to the Chief Operations Officer and sponsors.
  • Build proficiency across multiple key systems, serving as primary administrator for some and qualified backup for others while maintaining appropriate access and segregation of duties.
  • Cross-train teammates, share reusable methods and lessons learned, and coach business partners in problem solving, process improvement, and change adoption.
  • Perform other duties and lead special initiatives as assigned.
