About The Position

The Enterprise Solutions Architect provides senior, hands-on technology leadership to help The Centers evaluate emerging technology, improve enterprise business applications, and design practical, secure, and supportable solutions to defined business problems. The role serves as a bridge among executive leadership, operational leaders, application owners, Information Technology, and external vendors. Initial emphasis includes application governance, cloud, automation, analytics support, and AI-enabled solutions, with broader responsibility for prioritized enterprise technology needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, computer science, healthcare administration, or a related field required, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Ten or more years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise technology, applications, cloud computing, cybersecurity, integration, implementation, architecture, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience translating business problems into practical technical designs and evaluating technology vendors.
  • Experience working across executive, operational, vendor, and technical teams.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, integration, automation, analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and enterprise application architecture.
  • Understanding of information security, privacy, continuity, vendor risk, application governance, and supportability considerations.
  • Ability to work within an established part-time schedule while prioritizing high-value assignments and communicating capacity constraints clearly.
  • Ability to travel locally among The Centers facilities as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or relevant professional credentials preferred.
  • Healthcare, human services, or other regulated-environment experience preferred.
  • CISSP, cloud architecture, enterprise architecture, project leadership, or comparable credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Translates operational and business problems into practical requirements, solution options, implementation approaches, and executive-ready recommendations.
  • Designs and evaluates solutions using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, integration, automation, analytics, and AI where appropriate to the business need.
  • Supports focused pilots, prototypes, proof-of-concept activities, and technical validation when they reduce uncertainty or implementation risk.
  • Conducts technical and operational due diligence on proposed technologies and vendors, including business fit, security, integration, supportability, cost, sustainability, and measurable value.
  • Frames solution alternatives with clear trade-offs, risks, dependencies, resource needs, and recommended decisions for leadership review.
  • Coordinates with external vendors to clarify capabilities, implementation requirements, support models, and contractual or operational considerations.
  • Assesses and helps strengthen governance for selected business applications administered by operational departments, including ownership, access, configuration, documentation, integration, continuity, and vendor coordination.
  • Partners with application owners, operational leaders, and IT teams to clarify responsibilities, decision rights, support expectations, change control needs, and escalation paths.
  • Supports application improvement assignments and other enterprise priorities by applying systems thinking, root-cause analysis, and practical technology design.
  • Coordinates executives, operational leaders, IT staff, application owners, and vendors for assigned initiatives.
  • Clarifies priorities, decisions, responsibilities, risks, dependencies, and next actions for assigned workstreams.
  • Communicates findings and recommendations in clear business language appropriate for executive, operational, and technical audiences.
