About The Position

The Enterprise Solution Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and delivering end‑to-end technology solutions that support the bank’s business strategy, regulatory requirements, and long‑term architecture roadmap. This role requires deep experience in modern application architectures, middleware and integration platforms, data architecture, and hybrid cloud (cloud and on‑premises) environments within a banking or financial services context. The architect will partner closely with business leaders, engineering teams, bank security, and risk/compliance stakeholders to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and compliant while enabling modernization and innovation.

  • 10+ years of experience in IT architecture or solution design, with significant experience in banking or financial services.
  • Strong hands‑on experience designing modern, distributed applications and enterprise platforms.
  • Proven experience with hybrid architectures spanning cloud and on‑premises environments.
  • Experience working within regulated environments with strong governance and risk controls.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own end‑to-end solution architectures across applications, integration, data, and infrastructure layers.
  • Design modern, API‑driven, microservices-based architectures supporting digital banking, payments, lending, and core banking platforms.
  • Develop architecture patterns and standards for cloud‑native, hybrid, and on‑premises solutions.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, target‑state roadmaps, and technology standards.
  • Architect and guide solutions across public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), private cloud, and on‑premises data centers.
  • Define cloud adoption patterns including IaC, containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
  • Ensure high availability, resiliency, disaster recovery, and performance requirements are met.
  • Design integration architectures using API management, ESB/event streaming, messaging, and file‑based integration patterns.
  • Support real‑time and batch integration across internal systems, fintech partners, and third-party vendors.
  • Enable reuse, scalability, and observability across integration platforms.
  • Define data architectures covering operational data, analytics, reporting, and regulatory needs.
  • Support data lakes, data warehouses, streaming data platforms, and master/reference data management.
  • Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to enable data quality, lineage, and governance.
  • Embed security‑by-design principles including identity, access management, encryption, and secrets management.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and standards (e.g., FFIEC, SOX, PCI, GLBA, data privacy).
  • Participate in architecture risk assessments and technology control reviews.
  • Act as a trusted technology advisor to business and IT leadership.
  • Lead architecture reviews, design forums, and technical decision‑making.
  • Guide engineering teams during delivery to ensure architectural integrity.
  • Evaluate vendors and third-party solutions from an architectural and risk perspective.
