About The Position

The Department of Economic Security (DES) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join their team as a Systems/Network Supervisor. This position will serve as an Enterprise Software Supervisor, responsible for the daily support and maintenance, governance, and customer service of all enterprise software systems, including Google Enterprise and Microsoft M365. The role involves participating in product demonstrations, facilitating governance meetings, providing best practice guidance, and adhering to change management practices. The position also requires keeping systems updated, maintaining documentation, and performing daily system maintenance activities. This role may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona, based on department needs and performance.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of various infrastructure technologies and in house developed applications utilized in the enterprise
  • Knowledge of System monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Knowledge of performing daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary

  • Possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks.
  • Successfully pass background and reference checks
  • Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
  • Obtain and maintain a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card that meets DES requirements for a Level One card pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41-1969.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 or more years of experience in related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Provides proactive guidance and maintenance schedules for systems and platforms for the products and services that are included in the enterprise software service area and others as assigned.
  • Administers the full range of disciplines for enterprise software applications.
  • Supervises and guides a team of system administrators responsible for the maintenance and proactive and reactive services of the enterprise software systems.
  • Provides guidance, assistance, training and education related to enterprise software applications, services, usage, and governance.
  • Reviews configuration change proposals for compliance to established standards, guidelines and policies.
  • Performs system analysis, designs, constructs and tests infrastructure in collaboration with the network system administrators and engineers.
