About The Position

Chainguard is hiring an Enterprise Sales Engineer to help prospective and existing customers evaluate the value of its hardened, secure, production-ready open-source software builds. The role assesses prospects’ technical requirements and applies knowledge of Chainguard products to show how the solution addresses unmet needs. It involves building relationships with decision-makers at all organizational levels and navigating competing stakeholder needs. The Sales Engineer partners with the Sales Team, owns the technical aspects of sales opportunities, and supports current customers in understanding Chainguard’s value. The role helps secure technical wins through demonstrations, POVs/POCs, RFP/RFI responses, collaboration with engineering on requested features, and participation in relevant industry and marketing events. The position is for someone located in the Greater New York City area. Chainguard describes its culture as customer-obsessed, action-oriented, serious about its work while not taking itself too seriously, and grounded in transparency and trust. The company is remote-first and offers team meetups and destination summits.
