About The Position

Cox Farms, a pioneering leader in the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) industry and part of the Cox Enterprises family, is seeking an experienced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Director to drive its strategic ERP landscape. This role is crucial for revolutionizing food production through sustainable and innovative technology. The ERP Director will define and drive the ERP Strategy and Roadmap in partnership with IT Leadership and Business stakeholders, leading a team of ERP Analysts to ensure stable operations, effective change management, and continuous improvement of ERP systems, processes, and integrations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on ERP experience, including configuration and support
  • 5+ years of experience leading or supervising a small technical or application support team
  • Strong understanding of core business processes: Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Inventory Management, Manufacturing/Production (if relevant), and Record-to-Report
  • Proven track record of managing ERP projects, enhancements, and upgrades
  • Solid understanding of integration concepts (APIs, EDI, middleware, file-based integrations)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Controlled Environment Agriculture, Food Manufacturing, or Agricultural industries.
  • Demonstrated experience with Famous ERP and/or NetSuite.
  • Experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, NetSuite Analytics).
  • Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location environment.
  • Familiarity with ITIL service management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary owner and subject-matter expert for Famous ERP and NetSuite ERP.
  • Partner with business leaders (Finance, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, etc.) to understand requirements and translate them into ERP solutions.
  • Develop and maintain the ERP roadmap, including upgrades, new modules, integrations, and optimization initiatives.
  • Define and enforce ERP standards, best practices, and governance (configuration, documentation, naming conventions, security roles).
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of ERP/IT Support Analysts.
  • Prioritize and assign workload, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and project tasks.
  • Establish and track key performance metrics (e.g., ticket SLAs, system uptime, user satisfaction, change success).
  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture within the team.
  • Oversee day-to-day ERP operations, including user access management, security roles, configuration changes, and master data governance.
  • Manage Level 2/3 support for ERP-related incidents and escalations; coordinate with vendors where needed.
  • Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and process maps.
  • Ensure system stability, performance, and data integrity across Famous ERP and NetSuite.
  • Lead and/or support ERP-related projects (implementations, module rollouts, integrations, data migrations).
  • Gather and analyze business requirements, design solutions, and coordinate configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Manage change control and release processes, including test plans, UAT coordination, and post‑go‑live support.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate processes using ERP capabilities, workflows, and integrations.
  • Oversee integrations between Famous ERP, NetSuite, and other business systems (e.g., WMS, CRM, EDI, banking, e-commerce).
  • Coordinate with internal developers and external partners on integration design, monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Support financial and operational reporting needs, using native ERP reporting tools and/or BI platforms.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across systems and entities.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate ERP security, roles, and permissions in line with company policies and compliance requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits related to ERP processes, access, and financial controls.
  • Establish and maintain backup, recovery, and business continuity procedures in collaboration with Infrastructure/IT.

Benefits

  • Travel will be required to our locations to build relationships, see processes in action, document requirements, implement systems, and provide support. Expect to travel approximately twice per month.
