About The Position

MariaDB is seeking an Enterprise Product Advisor to drive strategic outbound pipeline development. This role involves identifying high-value opportunities and initiating contact with potential enterprise customers through multi-channel outbound campaigns. You will leverage existing familiarity with MariaDB within its open-source community to initiate enterprise-grade conversations. Responsibilities include mapping corporate structures, multi-threading across strategic accounts, identifying customer pain points, and demonstrating how MariaDB's enterprise solutions can address their data challenges. As part of the Product Advisors team, you will play a critical role in company growth by executing a rigorous outbound prospecting motion that directly builds pipeline and supports the Enterprise Sales team. MariaDB has a history of internal promotion, and this role offers an opportunity to advance a sales career by transforming data storage and access.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of dedicated B2B Business Development or outbound prospecting experience, with a proven focus on mapping and targeting enterprise accounts.
  • BA/BS degree.
  • Outstanding active listening, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to hold peer-level conversations with technical executives and developers.
  • A self-starter mentality with a demonstrable track record of hitting and exceeding pipeline generation goals.
  • Sharp time management skills and the ability to operate independently within a structured outbound motion, while remaining highly coachable.
  • Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth enterprise tech environment.
  • Passionate about cutting-edge database technology, with a high aptitude for quickly learning complex IT software products and business-critical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify high-potential enterprise businesses and map complex corporate structures to identify key decision-makers who fit the MariaDB ideal customer profile.
  • Develop and execute rigorous territory plans using advanced outbound prospecting methodologies (phone, email, and social) to multi-thread across both technical and business stakeholders within strategic accounts.
  • Leverage open-source community interest, product downloads, and digital footprints to turn existing brand warmth into qualified enterprise sales cycles.
  • Partner closely with the Marketing and Enterprise Sales teams to design, execute, and lead account-based outbound campaigns from initial strategy through to qualified transition.
  • Schedule and facilitate high-level sales discovery calls, ensuring a seamless, deeply qualified handoff of prospects to Enterprise Sales Account Executives.
  • Confidently interact with, engage, and influence senior IT leadership, architecture teams, and business decision-makers.
  • Actively nurture early-phase enterprise opportunities, guiding community users toward the value of enterprise-grade support, scale, performance, and security.
  • Meticulously update, track, and manage all lead and prospect activity in Salesforce and Salesloft to ensure flawless pipeline visibility.
  • Consistently hit and exceed monthly and quarterly outbound opportunity quotas.
