The F-35 JPO manages the life-cycle program for the F-35 Lightning II variants (A, B, and C), overseeing development, delivery, and sustainment for U.S. and international partners. This role involves providing oversight and reporting on aircraft supply chain effectiveness, supporting strategy development, quality deficiency reporting, and performance metrics. The analyst will utilize logistics performance data to recommend and adjust supply levels, monitor consumption based on flight operations phases, track unique plus-ups, and enforce business rules for responsible asset issuance. The position also involves shaping item management strategies, developing and maintaining analytical methodologies, evolving tools with weapon system data, and ensuring metrics standards drive supply chain performance by holding PSPs accountable. Reporting and findings will support the adjudication of PSP or vendor performance data. Additionally, the role supports business management functions to determine the build, type, and configuration of DSP/ASP kits for unit deployments, analyzing requirements to ensure appropriate part mix and configuration, monitoring PSP progress, and identifying shortages for backfilling kits. The analyst will query and extract data from various DoD systems to improve product support strategies and provide expertise in statistical data analysis, modeling, simulation, optimization, and analytical capabilities to support the government in developing and implementing performance measures and metrics aligned with strategic plans, cost-effectiveness, and efficiencies. This includes maintaining existing measures, developing new ones, establishing business rules for data collection and metrics tools, and regularly reviewing business rules for relevancy. The role requires developing metrics, identifying data sources, determining data pull frequency, formats, calculations, and analyzing metric data. Statistical techniques will be used for lagging indicator analyses (e.g., SPC, trending, root cause analysis) to measure historical performance and review initiatives. Leading indicator analyses for time series will involve predictive forecasting techniques (e.g., moving average, exponential smoothing, regression, Box-Jenkins), applying forecasting tools for confidence levels, error margins, sensitivity analyses, what-if scenarios, hypothesis testing, and modeling/simulation.
