As a member of the Sales & Marketing team, you will play a crucial role in addressing client challenges and contributing to success by understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored, easy-to-use solutions. This position involves strengthening client relationships, proactively identifying needs, and innovating to unlock new opportunities. The Enterprise HCM Account Executive is a fully remote position within the U.S., requiring availability five days a week during designated work hours. While the role is primarily remote, the work arrangement is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance, potentially including adjustments to on-site requirements or schedule expectations.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales position.
  • Ability to succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Ability to maintain high activity standards.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills required to handle objections and unexpected situations.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and the Internet.

Responsibilities

  • Engage current clients at the executive level to align Paylocity’s suite of solutions with company objectives, aiming to close new and expanded sales agreements.
  • Generate net-new business opportunities within the existing client base by leveraging company expertise, industry profile, and knowledge.
  • Schedule and present Paylocity products and services to current clients with 500 or more employees.
  • Prepare and present proposals, providing appropriate follow-up throughout the sales process.
  • Organize, complete, and obtain necessary documentation for clients adding additional functionality.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a smooth transition for clients implementing new features.
  • Cultivate executive-level relationships with clients through telemarketing, onsite meetings, referrals, and professional/personal contacts to drive adoption of new features.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current clients by securing quarterly touchpoints to identify needs for additional services.
  • Work closely with internal service partners to ensure an optimal client experience.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other events to promote Paylocity services.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas for your territory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
