Enterprise GIS Architect
About The Position
CTG is seeking to fill an AI/LLM Solution Architect position for our client. This is an onsite role in Dallas, TX, with a duration of 6 months. The position requires mandatory 3-5 days per week in the office. The role involves designing and implementing enterprise GIS architectures and solutions for Energy & Utilities environments, leading the architecture and integration of Esri ArcGIS Enterprise components, and designing hybrid cloud and on-premises GIS solutions. The architect will also integrate GIS platforms with utility operational and enterprise systems, provide technical leadership for GIS infrastructure, security, disaster recovery, and business continuity, and develop spatial database solutions. Collaboration with stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and enterprise architecture teams is essential.
Requirements
- Esri ArcGIS Enterprise architecture and implementation
- Enterprise GIS and utility systems integration
- Energy & Utilities industry experience
- Hybrid cloud and on-premises architecture
- AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud
- Spatial databases and RDBMS technologies
- Windows/Linux, networking, load balancing, storage, and security
- Python, JavaScript, REST APIs, and automation
- Security architecture, governance, disaster recovery, and business continuity
- Agile, SDLC, and enterprise architecture governance
- Strong consulting, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
- 8+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise GIS architectures and solutions.
- Experience supporting electric, gas, water, or renewable utility operations.
- Experience with hybrid cloud GIS deployments and enterprise system integration.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

- Experience with AI/LLM, Generative AI, or enterprise AI solutions.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities with GIS or utility applications.
- Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms.
- Experience with Hexagon Intergraph GIS and utility mapping solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise GIS architectures and solutions for Energy & Utilities environments.
- Lead architecture and integration of Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, including Server, Portal, ArcGIS Online, and Enterprise Geodatabases.
- Design hybrid cloud and on-premises GIS solutions using AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or similar platforms.
- Integrate GIS platforms with utility operational and enterprise systems.
- Provide technical leadership for GIS infrastructure, security, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Develop and support spatial database solutions using Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, or similar technologies.
- Use Python, JavaScript, REST APIs, and automation tools for integration and solution development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and enterprise architecture teams.
