About The Position

The Enterprise Fraud Governance Lead works closely with multiple functional areas to ensure the fraud teams are well-managed and have appropriate processes in place that align with regulatory and bank requirements. Assess and identify opportunities to proactively reduce risk and enhance processes leading to a stronger fraud prevention environment. This position is responsible for providing advisory and oversight for Enterprise Fraud, with a particular focus on strengthening risk assessments, reporting and governance efforts to support decision-making. This position provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen adherence to the risk management framework, which includes risk identification and assessment; risk measurement; risk controls; and risk monitoring and reporting to improve change and product risk outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Experienced using analytics to solve business problems and monitor risks; and applying analytic technologies to deliver value to the business.
  • Minimum 5 years of risk management, change risk management, product risk management and governance experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of banking or financial industry experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Requires a solid understanding of the organization's business
  • Ability to convey credibility, confidence and sense of authority across a large team
  • Strong communication/facilitation skills

Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison between Fraud Management and enterprise-wide governance organizations including Internal Audit, First and Second Line Risk Management, Compliance, etc., providing SME guidance around industry regulation and bank requirements.
  • Lead efforts to evaluate current and upcoming threats and control environment to identify potential opportunities and determine enhancements
  • Execute Fraud Risk Assessment(s) when applicable to ensure vulnerabilities are identified and steps are taken to mitigate the risk
  • Understand the end-to-end fraud control environment throughout the bank
  • Evaluate current fraud risk and controls (RCSA) and drive alignment across the enterprise
  • Communicate the fraud prevention control requirements to stakeholders including leadership across the enterprise to ensure alignment
  • Partner across Enterprise Fraud to maintain appropriate governance across the team’s pillars as the first line of defense
  • Track and escalate issues and risks, ensuring full mitigation and resolution, drive transformational change holistically and work on a variety of projects
  • Manage multiple concurrent programs and projects, delivering implementations for business partners
  • Manage a large-scale Program across multiple business lines in cooperation with Senior Level Executive guidance to meet deliverable targets
  • Provides Executive level reporting to clearly convey program status, issues, risks and timeline
  • Will facilitate and drive key decisions from Executive leadership as needed
  • Develops working relationships with key partners ensuring that business plans are coordinated, aligned and support department and firm goals and objectives
  • Supports and effectively communicates program goals, objectives, vision and values.
  • Proactively recognizes, plans and acts on the need for improvement and helps groups to overcome resistance to change
  • Track and facilitate fraud management compliance with BCP, Third Party Risk Management, Model Risk Management requirements.
  • Will facilitate and lead weekly status meetings with core team and Steering Committee
