Enterprise Data Manager
About The Position
Arlington County's Department of Technology Services (DTS) is hiring an experienced Enterprise Data Manager to provide senior-level work and leadership as part of the Digital Innovation and Cloud Application Team. This team administers the County’s enterprise data strategy, governance, and data quality efforts. The Enterprise Data Manager leads by guiding and communicating the delivery of modern data platforms (data models, pipelines, warehouses/lakes) which enable secure, high-quality, and interoperable data for analytics, AI, and mission critical operations. The role combines leadership (policy, governance, and value realization) with familiarity of architectural data design and solution delivery across Cloud and on Prem environments while working in partnership with and engaging DTS leadership, departmental leaders, cybersecurity, records, and legal/privacy teams. The Enterprise Data Manager reports to the Digital Innovation and Cloud Division Chief. The ideal candidate will have proven experience driving culture change; defining patterns and standards while balancing short-term delivery with long-term maintainability and cost; and planning and executing complex, multi‑stakeholder programs with measurable outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience as an Enterprise Data Manager.
- Experience with enterprise data strategy, governance, and data quality.
- Experience with modern data platforms (data models, pipelines, warehouses/lakes).
- Experience with architectural data design and solution delivery.
- Experience in Cloud and on Prem environments.
- Experience in partnership and engagement with leadership, cybersecurity, records, and legal/privacy teams.
