About The Position

This Co-op experience provides participants with meaningful, relevant work experience as part of their academic studies. In addition to daily responsibilities, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a series of structured activities designed to enhance their learning experience including: Co-Op New Hire Orientation, Senior Leadership Speaker Series, Social & Networking Events, and Presentation Challenges. At the conclusion of this position, co-ops will have increased their knowledge of investing, the mutual fund industry, employee engagement, and a firm understanding of investment operations, data, and technology at an asset manager. The Enterprise Data Management (EDM) group includes teams focused on data management and quality, market data management, data governance, analytics support, and data technology that services the data needs and capabilities of the enterprise. This role will report to the Data Management & Quality organization and primarily perform data quality-focused activities and data management initiatives but will have the opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of EDM including the technologies utilized to support the Unified Data Platform.

Requirements

Self-motivated and self-starter with the ability to take initiative
Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Interest in investment data, investment operations, and learning investment applications/technology
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft CoPilot
Currently enrolled in a co-op program through their college or university and can meet our requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience with data visualization, SQL, Microsoft SharePoint helpful but not required

Responsibilities

Work with the team to refine various procedures and activities that enhance data management and quality environment related to core investment data domains
Work with Data Analysts and data domain owners to identify, build, and implement new data quality checks
Execute daily and monthly data quality checks, identifying opportunities to strengthen and improve checks
Opportunistically contribute to EDM data initiatives that require data analysis
Assist with Investments and Distribution Triage daily/weekly oversight activities; ensuring metadata completeness for root causes, domain type, and accountability/ownership
Assist with maintenance of EDM SharePoint site
Other data-focused tasks and projects as needed
