About The Position

Serves as an Enterprise Data Engineer leading the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) toward a structured and open data exchange achieving the ability to use, share and perform data analysis across multiple organizations to help answer mission and business intelligence questions. Manages and prioritizes the project stream, working with internal customers to determine project definition and business requirements.

Requirements

  • Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI adjudication
  • 8+ years of experience in technical project management or data engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in information science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field
  • Demonstrated Experience with Tableau Visualizations/Data Prep, data capabilities of SharePoint
  • Demonstrated experience with Business Analytics and the principals of analyzing financial, production, and/or Intel data
  • Familiar with python, SQL, data pipelines and ETL techniques and ontologies
  • Effective/efficient written/verbal communication skills; proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Power BI
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction
  • Ability to work and interact with technically and organizationally diverse personnel
  • Open to occasional travel

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) intelligence analysis and production processes
  • Master’s degree in information science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field
  • Professional certifications in Data Analytics

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Data Engineering expert. Utilize technical expertise to plan, design, document, and implement requirements necessary for enterprise data engineering.
  • Work as an analytical advisor to A9A leadership to include the Principal Technical Analyst, Deputy Chief Data Officer, and Chief Data Officer on a broad range of issues related to Center needs for data engineering and data analytics.
  • Share your expertise. Guide other civilian, military, and contractor counterparts in developing and providing Center level data standardization and structure.
  • Develop new approaches, methods, tools, automation, and procedures to improve Center data preparation, organization, and architecture.
  • Manage projects from inception to implementation. Collaborate with communities of experts and lead team members to drive enterprise achievement.
