About The Position

The Enterprise Asset Manager will be responsible for building and running the program's approach to tracking assets across their lifecycle, from acquisition through retirement. This role involves working with network, cloud, mobility, and security teams who depend on accurate asset data. A key aspect of this role is managing the change management process to ensure the system of record is utilized effectively by program staff.

Requirements

Owned an asset or configuration management program at a scale where manual tracking was not feasible or accurate.
Experience getting technical teams to update a system of record instead of working around it.
Experience supporting an audit or compliance review as the person whose data was checked.
Experience working with procurement and lifecycle processes.
Comfortable with asset and configuration management platforms common in federal environments.
U.S. Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

Active CBP Background Investigation (CBP BI) and EOD strongly preferred.
Active CBP BI, a fitness determination at another DHS component, or an active DoD clearance.
Not dependent on one specific tool for asset and configuration management.

Responsibilities

Build and run the program's approach to tracking assets across their lifecycle, from acquisition through retirement.
Work with network, cloud, mobility, and security teams who all depend on accurate asset data.
Ensure the asset inventory is trusted and used by teams, leading to accurate audits and efficient deployments/refreshes.
Investigate and close discrepancies in the asset inventory.
Ensure equipment is retired in the system when it is retired in practice.
Ensure new equipment enters the inventory at acquisition.
Track equipment warranty status, refresh due dates, and end-of-life status.
Use asset data to inform refresh planning, security and compliance reviews, and budget/lifecycle forecasts.
