About The Position

The Enterprise Architect also advises C-suite stakeholders, contributes to proposals, estimates, and technical due diligence, and supports architectural modernization by connecting legacy enterprise platforms with cloud-native infrastructure and AI services. The role is part of an international, remote-first team working across Germany, Portugal, Greece, and other locations, with a willingness to travel required.

  • Proven experience designing IT landscapes where Salesforce works alongside tier-one enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday.
  • Hands-on integration architecture experience with REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven patterns, OAuth 2.0/SAML, and middleware such as MuleSoft or comparable solutions.
  • Experience designing data models, sharing and security, and large-data-volume strategies for global, multi-country rollouts.
  • Strong command of Salesforce platform limits, declarative versus programmatic trade-offs, DevOps and CI/CD, release management, and environment strategy.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP as they interact with Salesforce.
  • Consulting background with direct client contact and the ability to whiteboard enterprise solutions and explain them clearly to developers and executives.
  • Salesforce Application Architect and System Architect certifications, or at least three certifications on the Architect path.
  • Communicative and credible with clients, willing to make and defend design decisions, experienced with remote and international teams, and willing to travel.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification or an active CTA journey.
  • Further language skills.
  • Consumer Goods industry knowledge, including field sales and retail execution, trade promotion management, and key account and distributor processes.
  • Hands-on Consumer Goods Cloud experience, including Retail Execution, visit planning, order capture, and Trade Promotion Management (TPM).
  • Salesforce Data Cloud and Agentforce/Einstein exposure, including how they combine with Sales, Service, and Marketing.
  • Experience at or with large consultancies such as Deloitte, Accenture, PwC, EY, KPMG, or Capgemini.
  • Experience with other industry clouds, CPQ, DocuSign, or ERP connectors.
  • Experience with Salesforce AppExchange products and unlocked/managed packaging strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end target architecture across Salesforce Sales, Service, Marketing, B2B Commerce, and Consumer Goods Cloud, and make and document key design decisions.
  • Design integration architecture between Salesforce and ERP, DMS, POS/retail data, trade promotion, and finance systems.
  • Serve as the ultimate technical design authority from discovery to go-live.
  • Advise C-suite executives, including CIOs, CTOs, and CMOs.
  • Contribute to proposals, estimates, and technical due diligence in pre-sales.
  • Lead architectural modernization efforts that bridge legacy enterprise systems with modern cloud-native infrastructure and AI services.
