About The Position

Fisher Investments is seeking an Enterprise Architect (Investment Solutions) to plan portions of the enterprise architecture environment, develop architectural principles and standards, and promote alignment of technology to business needs. This role will focus on the architecture and design of solutions supporting Front, Middle, and Back Office groups within Investment Solutions, crucial for running a large, global wealth management firm. As a technical expert, you will collaborate with internal technology teams, partners, third-party vendors, and implementation partners to build the technology transformation program and create multi-year roadmaps aligned with Fisher's priorities. You will also survey the technology landscape to guide the evolution of the current environment and support future capabilities and requirements. This position reports to the Vice President of Enterprise Architecture.

Requirements

  • 10+ year's combination of solution / technical / business architecture roles
  • 7+ years of experience leading solution / technical architecture team
  • 5+ years of architecture experience at a large wealth management or asset management firm
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of CRD in a wealth management context dealing with UMA portfolio structures
  • Experience with application, data, integration, security, and technology platform architectures and implementation patterns
  • Highly advanced ability to investigate, analyze issues to take to resolution
  • Experience implementing multiple complex enterprise level changes simultaneously, including how to guide and measure adoption of best practices
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing employees
  • Expertise in translating enterprise needs and problems into viable and accepted solutions
  • Expertise in decision-making, conflict resolution, and negotiation/influence skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRD & Sylvan strongly preferred
  • Experience with Azure data and integration services preferred

Responsibilities

  • Define and oversee the adherence to enterprise architecture principles and standards across applications, infrastructure, and information security.
  • Define the architecture and lead the selection of important platforms (cloud and on-premises), products, and vendors for enterprise-wide programs.
  • Ensure application and system architecture (especially cloud-based data and integration architecture, with CRD as a foundation for Front and Middle Office functions, and with SS&C GWP & Sylvan as a foundation for Back office functions) is consistent with enterprise needs and understand how application solutions meet those needs.
  • Lead technology and business teams to evaluate current technology solutions and plan, design, and coordinate multi-year roadmaps for all applications and support activities.
  • Survey the technology landscape to identify systems and solutions aligning with firm strategy, collaborating with executive leadership to recommend, implement, and maintain appropriate technology solutions.
  • Function as SME to Technology Business Services, Infrastructure and Operations, Information Security, 3rd party vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Facilitate optimization of current state architecture during the transformation to future state architecture.
