NFF is seeking an experienced infrastructure architect to support enterprise-wide infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery initiatives. The role works closely with the Chief Enterprise Architect and cross-functional technical teams to assess existing infrastructure, define future-state architecture, and strengthen the County’s technology resilience, security, and operational capabilities. The primary cloud focus is Microsoft Azure, with AWS as a secondary area of experience. The position serves as the primary architectural liaison for major facility move-outs, data center transitions, and large-scale workload migrations. It leads technical assessments and develops actionable architecture strategies, implementation roadmaps, and recommendations. The architect also communicates technical risks and recommendations to technical teams, agency stakeholders, and senior leadership. The role spans infrastructure capacity and storage, hardware and software lifecycle planning, archive and retention initiatives, endpoint management, communications systems, cloud governance, and Infrastructure-as-Code standards. It also prepares materials for Architecture Review Board discussions and facilitates discovery workshops to align modernization plans with business requirements and enterprise technology strategy.
