About The Position

Enterprise Architects must focus on specific organizational capabilities or program areas, developing strategies, architectures, and/or plans that are aligned with business goals and objectives. This includes optimizing the entire business ecosystem to enhance performance, security, scalability, and adaptability.

Requirements

University undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science or Engineering or Ten (10) years of progressive experience in IT.
A minimum of ten years’ experience leading enterprise-wide architecture strategy, governance, and roadmap development.
A minimum of ten years’ experience designing integrated solutions aligned with enterprise standards and business needs.
A minimum of ten years’ experience developing enterprise data models, governance frameworks, and integration strategies OR designing and implementing cloud-native architectures and migration strategies OR leading the design of APIs, middleware, and microservice architecture.
Familiarity with recognized architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF.
Proficiency in architecture modelling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Sparx EA, Bizzdesign, Orbus iServer, ins-pi).
Experience designing architectures across multiple domains, including business, application, data/information, technology, and security.
Understanding of modern technology stacks, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, APIs, containers, and DevOps practices.
Ability to evaluate and recommend technologies that align with enterprise goals and constraints.
Knowledge of integration patterns, enterprise service buses (ESBs), and middleware solutions.
Experience with architecture governance, including standards development, compliance, and review processes.

Coach and mentor other architects, product owners/managers, and business stakeholders to instill architectural thinking.
Define and evolve the enterprise architecture framework, principles, and standards.
Align architecture strategy with business goals and transformation initiatives.
Create target-state architecture models that support scalability, agility, and innovation, ensuring alignment with business capabilities and architecture domain strategies.
Collaborate with senior business leaders to establish high-level strategic roadmaps that align enterprise solutions with business strategies.
Recommend and implement architectural patterns that reduce complexity and cost.
Promote reuse of common platforms, services, and components.
Present architectural insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Advocate for strategic investments in technology and innovation.
Participate in architecture review boards and ensure adherence to standards.
Work with domain architects, solution architects, and subject matter experts to ensure cohesive designs.
Maintain the alignment, integration, and coordination of architecture activities across different programs, projects, and products as they evolve over time.
Provide practical advice and best practices to take advantage of new or emerging opportunities and successfully deliver the expected business outcomes.
Develop and apply minimal viable architectures, which can include a set of standards, reference architecture patterns, principles, and guardrails, through the EA governance model, which is informed by the business strategy and corporate governance. Clarifies accountability and provides the focal point for agile, effective, and efficient decision making.
Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure consistency with the enterprise architecture, as well as to leverage shared technologies, tools, and processes that impact speed to value and time to market.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure consistency with the enterprise architecture, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the enterprise architecture.
