About The Position

The Enterprise Architect II specializes in cloud and infrastructure, designing and implementing robust, scalable enterprise systems. The role collaborates with teams, drives technical decisions, and aligns solutions with cloud technologies. It designs systems across software, hardware, and communications to support current and future business needs, while ensuring compliance, integration, and platform-specific external interface requirements. The role also evaluates workflows and planning, provides technical supervision and mentorship, leads technical planning and vendor evaluations, and manages software designs and technical documentation. The position is located in Houston, Texas, and is described as W2.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of direct architect experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven expertise with Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong background in technology delivery, including custom software development.
• Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring on design, and driving engineering best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Aura.
• Knowledge of or certification in the TOGAF framework.
• An advanced degree such as an MBA.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise-wide systems covering software, hardware, and communications to support current and future business needs.
• Ensure solutions meet compliance standards, integration, and external interface requirements specific to the platform.
• Evaluate workflows, organization, and planning, and develop and implement corrective actions.
• Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and technical direction to engineering and IT teams.
• Lead technical planning, present solution options, and manage vendor evaluations.
• Author, review, and manage software designs and technical documentation.
