Enterprise Application Administrator

ReadyOneEl Paso, TX

About The Position

ReadyOne Industries is hiring an Enterprise Application Administrator to administer and continuously improve the core business systems that run our operation — Epicor (our enterprise resource planning, or ERP, system), Exenta (shop-floor and production efficiency), GSD (engineering standards and method/time data), and related systems and add-ons. Reporting to the CFO, this is an enterprise-wide role that serves every department equally: Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Inventory, and Finance. The role both administers these systems day to day and drives the improvements that help the organization get more out of them. It belongs to no single department and sits independent of every function it serves. This is a hands-on, senior role for a self-directed problem solver who personally administers these systems — managing user access, master data, and day-to-day support — while also leading system improvements across the enterprise. The person builds Business Activity Queries (BAQs) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports, integrates data across platforms, partners with leadership across Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance, and drives adoption and process improvement throughout the organization, including the operations that support our AbilityOne and deaf-community workforce mission. The role may include leadership and direct oversight of up to two analysts supporting these systems and related work, if and when the function grows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5–8 years of progressive business-systems experience, with at least 3 years directly administering or supporting Epicor Kinetic.
  • Experience with shop-floor, engineering-standards, or manufacturing-efficiency systems (such as Exenta or GSD) is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience across multiple Epicor modules, spanning at least two of the following areas: Production/Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchasing/Supply Chain, Quality, or Finance — including month-end close and internal controls in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency building BAQs, dashboards, and SSRS reports in Epicor.
  • Working knowledge of SQL (SELECT, joins, sub-queries) against an Epicor or comparable SQL Server database.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills, with the ability to translate business problems into structured system solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Epicor Kinetic (cloud) and exposure to Application Studio, Functions, REST/OData services, and BPM workflows.
  • Formal people-leadership experience, including hiring, onboarding, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Power BI development experience, including data modeling and DAX.
  • Experience supporting an AbilityOne, government-contracting, or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, APICS (CPIM/CSCP), or PMP certification.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish.
  • Experience with ERP integrations, DMT (Data Management Tool), and data migration projects.
  • Willingness to learn basic ASL or use accommodation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject-matter expert and primary administrator for the company's core business systems — Epicor (ERP), Exenta (shop-floor/efficiency), GSD (engineering standards), and related add-ons.
  • Provide tier 2/3 end-user support to every department — Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Inventory, and Finance.
  • Manage user security, roles, permissions, and audit controls across all systems in alignment with SOX-style internal control expectations and segregation of duties.
  • Plan, test, and execute patches, upgrades, and module or system deployments.
  • Maintain master data integrity (customers, vendors, parts, BOMs, routings, GL accounts) and enforce data governance standards across the enterprise.
  • Support IT and Security with application-level access controls and audit evidence for government-contracting and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Own and manage the full lifecycle of user access across all business applications — onboarding, role changes, and offboarding.
  • Work closely with HR and department managers to ensure access is granted and revoked in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Maintain an up-to-date access inventory for each application, and conduct periodic access reviews to confirm compliance with internal controls and segregation-of-duties requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with business-application vendors (such as Epicor, Exenta, and GSD) for support, licensing, renewals, and new implementations.
  • Manage application licenses to ensure the organization is properly covered and neither over- nor under-licensed.
  • Evaluate new business-application solutions as needed and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Configure and support Production Management modules — bills of materials (BOMs), routings, job entry, labor reporting, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and shop-floor execution.
  • Support Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP), including reorder points, min/max settings, cycle counting, and physical inventory.
  • Configure and maintain warehouse, bin, and lot/serial tracking structures so the Quality and Compliance teams can capture traceability, nonconformance, and audit-trail data required in an AbilityOne and government-contracting environment.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain leadership to improve job-costing accuracy, scrap and rework tracking, demand planning, supplier performance reporting, and inventory accuracy.
  • Support engineering change management (ECN) and revision control.
  • Identify and implement workflow automation through Business Process Management (BPM) that reduces manual effort and data-entry errors across the floor and the supply chain.
  • Support the Finance and Accounting team across all Finance modules.
  • Support month-end and year-end close, costing, variance analysis, and audit-ready reporting.
  • Build and maintain financial reports and dashboards used by Finance leadership and the executive team.
  • Support external auditors with data pulls, control documentation, and system walkthroughs.
  • Design, build, and maintain BAQs, dashboards, and SSRS reports to deliver self-service insights to every department.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards that combine data from Epicor, Exenta, GSD, and other systems into clear, executive-ready visualizations.
  • Write and optimize SQL (Structured Query Language) queries for ad-hoc analysis, data validation, and cross-system integration.
  • Document data definitions, report logic, and metric calculations to ensure consistency across Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and executive reporting.
  • Gather requirements from cross-functional stakeholders, document business processes, and translate needs into Epicor configurations or development work.
  • Lead small-to-mid-sized ERP projects from intake through go-live — including scoping, testing, training, and post-implementation support.
  • Develop and deliver end-user training, job aids, SOPs, and knowledge base content to build internal capability.
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives that increase data quality, reduce cycle times, and improve user adoption.
  • Own and drive Epicor improvement initiatives across the enterprise — setting standards for documentation, ticket handling, BAQ and SSRS development, change control, and end-user support quality.
  • Review and approve configuration changes, queries, and reports before they reach production.
  • If and when the function grows, provide direct supervision and day-to-day leadership of up to two team members (e.g., Business Analyst or ERP/Reporting Analyst), including assigning work, coaching through regular 1:1s, performance feedback, SMART goals, and annual reviews in partnership with HR; identify skill gaps and build development and cross-training plans; and partner with HR and the CFO on hiring, onboarding, and succession planning for the function.
