About The Position

This internship offers a unique opportunity to work within the Business Data & Analytics (BDA) division, a shared service organization focused on driving data-informed decision-making across Great American Insurance Group. The Enterprise Analytics Intern will support the development and delivery of reporting, dashboards, and data-driven insights. This role provides hands-on experience with enterprise data, analytics tools, and cross-functional teams, transforming data into meaningful business recommendations. The intern will gain exposure to reporting, customer analytics, predictive modeling, and enterprise data management, building foundational technical and business skills in a collaborative environment. Great American fosters a culture of connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. Employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in-office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.

Requirements

Field of Study: Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline
Available to work full time during Summer 2027, beginning May 18th
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and metrics
Experience working with structured data sets or databases
Introductory SQL or querying experience
Familiarity with gathering requirements and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders
Demonstrated skills in problem solving, attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
Strong communication skills and an interest in enterprise-level analytics and decision support

Responsibilities

Support the Enterprise Analytics team in developing and delivering analytics solutions, including reporting, dashboards, measurement strategies, and digital analytics initiatives.
Help test and validate reporting solutions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and production readiness.
Collaborate with analytics, technology, and business partners to understand data requirements and translate them into analytic solutions.
Document processes and procedures necessary to support our products.
Apply best practices related to data quality, documentation, and analytics standards.
Build foundational business and data domain knowledge across enterprise functions.
Independently complete assigned tasks while receiving guidance and mentorship from the analytics team.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of enterprise analytics initiatives.
Support digital and behavioral analytics initiatives in defining business objectives and measurement approaches.
