The Enterprise AI Enablement Engineer configures, administers, and extends enterprise AI platforms, including Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and emerging tools. The role manages integrations, identity and access controls, security settings, licensing, and cost controls, and automates configuration and deployment using infrastructure as code, APIs, version control, and CI/CD where supported. It evaluates and operationalizes platform capabilities while balancing business value, speed, and enterprise risk. The engineer develops and maintains MCP servers, API wrappers, connectors, and lightweight integrations that securely expose enterprise systems to AI platforms. The role advises users on responsible use of platform features and applies sound engineering practices to extensions, including testing, source control, deployment automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Working with Security and IT, the engineer identifies and mitigates AI-related risks and implements controls for data access, information protection, auditing, and agent governance. The position also engages business units to identify AI opportunities, provides hands-on guidance and reusable resources, measures utilization and outcomes, and recognizes when needs call for dedicated application engineering rather than general-purpose AI platforms.
