About The Position

Planned is an event management platform that helps companies streamline their meetings & events booking process. We make it easy for anyone to plan successful events while giving finance teams the visibility and control they need to maximize their budget. Planned already works with over 200 companies across North America, such as; PwC, L'Oréal, Google, Samsung & Airbnb. We're on a mission to disrupt a $500+ billion industry. To achieve that, we want to work with brilliant minds and natural leaders who are driven to out-think, out-plan, and outperform the competition. We tackle every business decision with enthusiasm, and we love the work that we do! As an Account Manager at Planned, you are the commercial owner of a portfolio of signed enterprise accounts. While our Customer Success Managers drive adoption depth within existing user bases and our Event Managers execute the events themselves, you are accountable for breadth; bringing new users, new business units, and new geographies onto the Planned platform.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of enterprise B2B account management, expansion sales, or strategic accounts experience - ideally in SaaS, marketplaces, or transaction-based platforms.
  • A track record of growing six- and seven-figure accounts year-over-year, with numbers you can speak to.
  • Multi-stakeholder, multi-region seller - you can read a global org chart and find the right entry points across Procurement, Travel, Marketing, Events, and Finance.
  • Commercially fluent - rate cards, take rates, MSAs, multi-year structures, and ROI cases for finance audiences are your native language.
  • Executive presence - you can hold your own with a CFO, CMO, or Chief Procurement Officer in writing and in person.
  • Pace and ownership - you build the plan, work the plan, and adjust the plan without waiting to be told.
  • You use AI tools as a natural part of how you work - to research faster, prep sharper, and respond quicker. This is non-negotiable.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry experience in events, hospitality, business travel, or strategic procurement.
  • Experience expanding a marketplace or transaction-fee business where adoption depth drives revenue.
  • You’ve sold into both Procurement and end-user buyers inside the same account.
  • French, Spanish, or other languages - useful as we grow internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Own a book of signed enterprise accounts as the commercial driver of expansion - bringing in new users, business units, geographies, and product lines.
  • Systematically grow share of wallet across accounts like EY, Airbnb, DoorDash, Lego, OpenAI, and Honda.
  • Identify and convert untapped pockets within existing accounts: new regions, event categories, and stakeholder groups not yet on the platform.
  • Lead all commercial negotiations - renewals, multi-year extensions, MSA amendments, rate card changes, and new product sales (Hotel Room Block, contracting, fronting).
  • Build and close mandated, multi-country rollouts - our highest-leverage outcome.
  • Maintain executive relationships with Directors, VPs, and C-level sponsors who can mandate Planned across an organization.
  • Keep HubSpot clean, your forecast honest, and leadership informed. No surprises at quarter end.
  • Partner with CSMs, Implementation, Supply, and Finance - pulling in the right people at the right moment to win the deal.
