A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ENROLLMENT & MATCHING SPECIALIST A typical week includes interviewing families and volunteers in their homes, collaborating with teammates to create meaningful matches, facilitating new friendships through match introductions, documenting assessments, and celebrating new matches as a team. You’ll help children feel seen, families feel supported, and volunteers feel confident and prepared as they begin a life-changing match through the BBBSKC program. POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Director of Enrollment and Matching, the Enrollment and Matching Specialist is a full-time, exempt position responsible for enrolling children (Littles) and volunteers (Bigs) into the program, which consists of conducting in-home interviews for both Littles and Bigs throughout the greater Kansas City area. Additionally, the EMS will facilitate new match introduction meetings in the home of the child. This is a fast-paced position that requires flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the schedules of the Parent/Guardians of the Littles as well as the Big. On average this position requires 3 to 4 evenings per week and/or weekend day. Flexible daytime scheduling when evening work is required and, once fully trained, staff manage their own appointments week to week. This position is ideal for professionals with social work or case management experience who enjoy community-based, relationship-centered work outside of traditional clinical settings.
