About The Position

The Enrollment Coach will assist prospective students and applicants in understanding academic programs, admission requirements, and financial aid options. This role involves providing one-on-one guidance to help students navigate the enrollment process, addressing concerns, and hosting enrollment and recruitment-related workshops. The coach will collaborate with admissions, financial aid, and student finance teams to streamline application processes and ensure the accuracy of submitted documents, aiming for students to complete all enrollment processes (apply, register, and pay for classes). Additionally, the role requires maintaining accurate student interaction records, reporting on student progress, utilizing data analytics for process improvement, and providing event support. Some after-hour and weekend work is expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration or a related field, OR an Associate's Degree with 8 years of Higher Education Experience.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in student services, enrollment management, or related roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of higher education policies, procedures, and admissions requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a service environment that is subject to frequent interruptions and skill in setting priorities that accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.
  • Ability to effectively, professionally, and tactfully interact and communicate, both orally and in writing, with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
  • Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office or equivalent software, the internet, email messaging, and web-based applications.
  • Advanced computer knowledge with the ability to understand and learn new online programs.
  • Comfortable using collaboration and communication tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual, Spanish preferred
  • 3-5 years of Student Affairs experience
  • Possess Customer Service experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist prospective students and applicants in understanding academic programs, admission requirements, and financial aid options.
  • Provide one-on-one guidance to help students navigate the enrollment process and address any concerns or challenges.
  • Host enrollment and recruitment-related workshops for prospects and applicants.
  • Collaborate with the admissions, financial aid, and student finance teams to streamline application processes and ensure the accuracy of submitted documents.
  • Track and follow up on application statuses, providing timely updates to students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Report and monitor student progress through the enrollment process.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement in the enrollment process.
  • Provide event support to any enrollment or recruitment-related events on and off campus.
  • Perform any other duties the supervisor assigns to ensure the smooth operation of the team and organization.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and job-related training.
