About The Position

This is a part-time position requiring up to 26 hours per week. The Enrollment Assistant processes mail, fax, in-person, and online registrations, including adding, dropping, and withdrawing students from classes. They provide registration support for students enrolling via Self-service and ensure support documentation for transactions is received and filed. The role involves updating student information, assisting with enrollment and graduation verifications, processing chargeback authorizations, and handling grade changes as requested by professors. The assistant also maintains intake and responses for the Enrollment Services email, supports the processing of graduates (including degree audits and diploma mailing), and assists with registration and enrollment for dual credit and high school students. Additionally, they log incoming transcripts for transfer credit, process approved transfer credit, answer phone calls for Enrollment Services, monitor QLess systems, and collaborate with other departments to provide quality service to students. Related duties are performed as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a professional setting, Higher Education preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organization and record-keeping skills
  • Demonstrated experience working with a diverse population
  • Ability to work as a member of a team

Responsibilities

  • Processes mail, fax, in-person and online registration including adding, dropping, withdrawing students from classes
  • Provides registration support for students enrolling via Self-service
  • Ensures support documentation for transactions is received and filed
  • Updates student information such as name, address, telephone and email address changes
  • Assists with student enrollment and graduation verifications
  • Processes chargeback authorizations
  • Processes grade changes as requested by professors
  • Maintains intake and responses for Enrollment Services email
  • Assists with the processing of graduates, including degree audit and printing and mailing of diplomas
  • Supports registration and enrollment processing for dual credit and high school students, including assisting with course registration, student record updates, and related enrollment documentation.
  • Logs all incoming transcripts for transfer credit into the system (including but not limited to: college transcripts, AP scores, and Police Academy certificates).
  • Processes approved transfer credit by reviewing documents, and applying credit as directed to student records.
  • Answers phone in Enrollment Services to assist callers.
  • Monitors QLess systems and summons students for needed services in a timely manner
  • Works with other departments to provide quality service to students
  • Performs related duties as assigned
