About The Position

Mater Hospital Springfield has an exciting opportunity for an Enrolled Nurse to join our Outpatients team in a permanent part-time position (0.8 FTE / 32 hours per week). Requirements

  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe, evidence-based nursing care within your scope of practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
  • A commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and continuous professional development.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • A positive, adaptable approach with a willingness to contribute to a supportive team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver delegated nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Perform patient assessments and accurately communicate clinical findings
  • Implement and evaluate evidence-based nursing interventions within your scope of practice
  • Assist with patient education, discharge planning and health promotion activities
  • Advocate for patients by supporting informed decision-making and compassionate care
  • Maintain high standards of infection prevention, patient safety and clinical documentation
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and ongoing service excellence
  • Collaborate effectively with medical, nursing, allied health and administrative teams
  • Participate in professional development, education and continuous learning opportunities
