About The Position

Provide instruction/training for students in specific skill areas as needed for enrichment programs or activities. The incumbent works in collaboration with activities staff to provide skill development/training for enrichment programs within Educational Enrichment including, but not limited to Title I, HomeStart (homeless services), FACTS (Out-of-School-Time Program), and 21st Century Community Learning Centers.

Requirements

• Holds Teaching Certification from the Arizona Department of Education
• Experience teaching the specific skill(s) required.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with a team to plan and implement learning activities.
• Ability to interact positively with children ages 5-13
• Ability to serve as a strong role model.

Responsibilities

• Teach specific enrichment skills, including preparation of activity outlines or lesson plans as directed by the program supervisor.
• Prepare and provide to the program supervisor a list of consumable supplies, materials or equipment needed for the assigned skill activities.
• Provide logistical support and/or participate in program workshops, professional development, planning meetings and/or family activities as requested by the program supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with other program staff and the program supervisor to ensure a safe environment for children.
• Follows all district policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
