About The Position

Under the supervision of the Enrichment Program Specialist, responsible for the development, direction and operation of before and after-school programs. Responsible for the overall effective operation and quality of the before and after-school programs. Assists in the development and execution of initiatives relating to the library, teen programs and workshops. May assist in the administration of the budget of assigned responsibility; makes necessary adjustments in a timely fashion. Maintains an ongoing line of communication with all stakeholders to enhance the sites programming scope and resource base. Establishes a network of resources such as community agencies, organizations and service groups to enhance the sites program. Performs public relations duties; responds to complaints and inquiries. Assists in the training of Enrichment Program staff. Assists in the coordination of community events. Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• Four (4) years of related experience; OR Bachelor's degree in related field of study and two (2) years of related experience
• Working knowledge of Enrichment Programs and their management
• Strong customer service, listening, and problem solving skills
• Competency in management, administration, promotion, and program development
• Experience in building relationships with families of all ages and abilities
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Competent in the use of MS Office software and other database software
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions, and to respond to safety and emergency situations
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
• Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 20 pounds) during the course of the work day
