As an ENL/ESOL Service Provider, you will be a key advocate for our multilingual learners, designing and delivering specialized instruction based on their language proficiency and academic requirements. You will collaborate closely with teachers, interventionists, and school leaders to guarantee that English Language Learners have full access to our rigorous curriculum while developing essential academic language skills. This role is ideal for someone who believes that language development and academic success are interconnected and that every scholar deserves instruction that recognizes their unique strengths and needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required)
  • NYS TESOL Certification
  • Experience working with English Language Learners, preferably in a charter or public school setting
  • Strong understanding of pull-out and push-in ENL service models
  • Knowledge of NYS ENL standards and NYSESLAT expectations
  • A belief that multilingual learners can achieve at high levels with the right supports
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Cultural competence and a commitment to equity and inclusion
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a scholar-centered mindset

Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted ENL instruction, including pull-out and push-in services, aligned with NYS ENL standards and scholars' language proficiency levels.
  • Design lessons that explicitly enhance listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while facilitating access to grade-level content.
  • Analyze data from NYSESLAT, classroom assessments, and progress monitoring to inform instructional adjustments and grouping strategies.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, Special Education staff, and leadership to plan instruction, align supports, and share effective strategies.
  • Ensure scholars receive appropriate accommodations and supports in classrooms and during assessments.
  • Communicate with families about language progress, celebrate achievements, and participate in school events like conferences and family nights.
  • Maintain accurate ENL records, service logs, and required documentation in compliance with NYS and federal regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing coaching, professional development, and collaborative planning to enhance ENL practices school-wide.
