About The Position

Fork Union Military Academy is a private, Christian, all-boys boarding military school located in the scenic heart of Central Virginia, serving grades 7–12 and postgraduate students. We are seeking an English Teacher who can deliver strong instruction in literature and writing, maintain clear classroom standards, and contribute to a structured, mission-driven school community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (required)
• Strong communication and classroom management skills

Nice To Haves

• Prior teaching experience, preferably in secondary education (strongly preferred)
• Virginia teaching license or eligibility (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned English courses in literature and writing
• Develop and implement lesson plans, curriculum, and assessments
• Utilize effective classroom management strategies to support a structured learning environment
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and assess student progress
• Support student growth through differentiated instruction and engagement
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success
