About The Position

Arlington Public Schools is hiring an English Learner Teacher for the 2026–27 school year. This is a 1.0 FTE position located at Randolph Elementary School. The teacher will work with a diverse community of learners and collaborate with colleagues. Candidates must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure, hold an Elementary Education endorsement, and have English as a Second Language PreK–12 certification. A dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education is preferred but not required. The salary is based on the FY2026–27 salary schedule, with a T-Scale range of $56,458–$139,828. The position is benefits eligible.

Requirements

Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
Elementary Education endorsement.
English as a Second Language PreK–12 certification required.
Teaching experience in the above-mentioned areas.
Knowledge of best instructional practices.
Ability to integrate technology.
Experience in educational and instructional leadership.
Ability to work effectively as a team member with colleagues.
Flexible, dependable, and highly organized.
Desire to work with a diverse community of learners.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with APS English Learner program models and assessment procedures for English learner students.
