About The Position
This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Arlington Traditional Elementary for SY27. The role involves implementing instructional programs that meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, and communicating with parents/guardians. The teacher will also maintain student records, collaborate with various stakeholders, monitor student achievement, and attend professional development. Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.
Requirements
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure in English.
- Teaching experience in the above mentioned areas.
- Knowledge of best instructional practices.
- Ability to integrate technology.
- Experience in educational and instructional leadership.
Nice To Haves
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Implements instructional programs that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials.
- Maintains safe and orderly environment.
- Communicates with parents/guardians.
- Maintains complete and accurate student records.
- Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members.
- Monitors and assesses student achievement.
- Attends ongoing professional learning and meetings.
