T26/27 ENGLISH LEARNER TEACHER (Innovation)
About The Position
This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Innovation Elementary School. The role requires a candidate who is eligible for Virginia licensure with an Elementary Education endorsement and English as a Second Language PreK-12 certification. A dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education is preferred. The ideal candidate will have teaching experience in the mentioned areas, knowledge of best instructional practices, the ability to integrate technology, and experience in educational and instructional leadership. Responsibilities include working effectively as a team member, demonstrating flexibility, dependability, and organization, and a desire to work with a diverse community of learners. Familiarity with APS English Learner program models and assessment procedures is also expected.
Requirements
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
- Elementary Education endorsement.
- English as a Second Language PreK-12 certification required.
- Teaching experience in the above-mentioned areas
- Knowledge of best instructional practices
- Ability to integrate technology
- Experience in educational and instructional leadership
Nice To Haves
