About The Position

Global LT is seeking an English as a Second Language (ESL) Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to two 10-year-old children in New Rochelle, NY. The students are twins who have recently relocated to the USA and are at a beginner/intermediate English level. Their native language is German. The goal is for them to become fluent and able to communicate with native speakers. Their interests include sports, reading Harry Potter books, and playing the keyboard. Lessons will be held at the students' home near Maplewood Park. Availability is expected to be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday around 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM, with a frequency of once or twice per week for 90 minutes per session. This is a freelance position.

Requirements

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in English
• Degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years' teaching experience
• Experience working with children

Nice To Haves

• Experience with students whose native language is German
• Familiarity with sports, Harry Potter books, or keyboard playing
