Indio High School - English Language Development Teacher
About The Position
Desert Sands Unified School District is hiring an English Language Development Teacher at Indio High School for the 2026–27 school year. The district serves the communities of Indian Wells, Bermuda Dunes, Palm Desert, La Quinta, and Indio, and describes its facilities as modern and its working conditions as excellent. It offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Salary credit may be granted for up to 18 years of qualifying prior teaching experience. Qualifying experience must cover at least three-fourths of a school year in a public school, accredited private school, VISTA, or Peace Corps, with a valid credential for the level of service; up to one year of credit may be granted for military service.
Requirements
- Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in English.
- CLAD certification or English Learner Authorization (CLAD/BCLAD).
- Submit copies of the required certificate(s), transcripts, and credential.
- Submit a letter of introduction.
- Submit three letters of recommendation, signed and dated within the last 18 months.
- Submit a resume.
