About The Position

Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton School District is seeking a caring, outgoing, and transformative English as a Second Language Teacher. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching students of all ages, with a background working with at-risk students and experiential learning.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of standard office equipment and software
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, students, parents, and elected officials
• Ability to effectively use and implement technology in the classroom
• Ability to create an environment of respect and trust
• Ability to differentiate curriculum to a wide range of learners
• Proven skill in forming, building, and maintaining positive relationships
• Evidence of successful experiences with students at a range of ages
• Commitment to and evidence of continual improvement
• PELSB License: English as a Second Language 125
• Continuing Education Units every five years

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills
• Collaborate and work with fellow teachers to provide the best growth and opportunities for students
• Create a flexible, safe learning environment that is conducive to individualized and small group learning
• Provide feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
• Document teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes
• Understand and utilize district technologies to support learning for students
• Other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
