About The Position

Our organization is working with an Illinois school district to fill an English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher position for an immediate start through the end of the school year. This elementary school-based role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:50 AM to 3:10 PM and offers a great opportunity for an educator ready to step in and make an impact with multilingual learners. In this position, you will provide focused ESL instruction to support students in developing their English language skills across listening, speaking, reading, and writing. You will work closely with classroom teachers and staff to ensure students can fully access academic content while building confidence and communication skills. Responsibilities include delivering instruction aligned with language proficiency levels, supporting academic language development in core subjects, tracking student progress, maintaining documentation, and fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

Requirements

Previous ESL or school-based experience preferred.
Must hold an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an ESL Endorsement.
