About The Position
The Engineering Testing Tech I supports the Engineering Testing department in evaluating JJE products to ensure they meet established requirements. Reporting to the Engineering Test Manager, this role applies foundational knowledge of firearms, ammunition, and testing methodologies as part of the product development team.
Requirements
- Must be willing to learn, improve, adapt and be flexible while displaying a positive attitude
- Ability to safely handle and maintain a variety of firearms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of various firearm systems preferred
- Experience with hand measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct testing of products delivered to the test center
- Execute test plans and procedures for new ammunition products
- Maintain proper storage and tracking of department firearms
- Assist in troubleshooting activities to identify root causes of problems
- Maintain accurate records using established data collection tools
- Support R&D projects to meet cost targets and delivery timelines
- Follow safe firearm handling practices at all times
- Travel between local facilities as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
