About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and motivated SLQ-32 PIT Engineering Technician. The Engineering Technician will support refurbishment, upgrade, and maintenance efforts for shelters associated with SLQ-32 radar systems within the Maritime Expeditionary Warfare Division at NSWC Crane. This role requires a mechanically inclined, highly motivated individual capable of working independently in a hands-on technical environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills who can contribute to system readiness and equipment lifecycle sustainment.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Must have, at minimum, 5 years of technician experience with the SLQ-32 radar system
- Solder Certification
- Fiber Optic Certification
- Ability to read drawings and wiring diagrams
- Bachelor's degree or higher, with ability to substitute military experience for education
Responsibilities
- System set-up and teardown
- System level PIT testing
- PIT report generation
- (V)6 system integration with the (V)7
- Support other PIT/Depot tasking as needed
