About The Position

Responsible for setting up, checking, and correcting operational and experimental electrical, mechanical and fluid systems while adhering to pre-established guidelines and engineering specifications. Assists engineers in the fabrication, maintenance, and testing of systems and system components. May lead and direct the work of others. Performs a variety of tasks in conjunction with system and component testing, as well as tasks coincident to facility maintenance. Performs fabrication and manufacturing functions with precise attention to detail. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Five years of relevant experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, mechanical, technical, or related fields. Candidates with closely related experience and a strong aptitude are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision when following fabrication, assembly, manufacturing processes, and safety procedures
  • Strong mechanical/technical aptitude and ability to interpret and accurately execute an extensive variety of technical instructions, including mathematical calculations, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and work instructions
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Ability to take direction from engineers or senior technicians while actively contributing to planning, problem-solving, and achieving team goals
  • Proactively pursue team goals and objectives, identify improvements, and take action when appropriate
  • Capable of working independently on complex assigned tasks and also collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills for accurate documentation, clear reporting, and effective interaction with colleagues

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with aerospace fluid systems, such as fluid system assembly, including experience with tube bending and reading Piping and Instrumentation (P&ID) diagrams is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supports all technical aspects of engineering fabrication and testing.
  • Maintains, inspects, and recommends upkeep of physical facility plant.
  • Performs technician function in support of engineering projects and testing objectives.
  • Support project managers or engineers in accomplishing technical and programmatic functions as assigned.
  • Perform to completion specific projects assigned by the project manager or engineering staff.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
