About The Position

Aguirre & Fields is seeking an Engineering Technician with 5-10 years of experience to support civil roadway engineering projects through design, drafting, and PS&E deliverables. The ideal candidate is an experienced OpenRoads Designer technician who brings technical depth, clear communication, and experience developing construction plans for transportation projects.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of relevant civil engineering design and project experience.
• Experience should include designing roadways in accordance with the TxDOT Roadway Design Manual
• High school diploma or GED
• Proficiency in relevant technology and software experience including Bluebeam, and OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bentley Accreditation in OpenRoads Designer

Responsibilities

• Work with the assigned Project Engineer or Project Manager and provide design support as needed.
• Support PS&E deliverables, exhibits, sketches, and quantities.
• Apply project design criteria accurately and consistently.
• Use current CADD tools, standards, and workflows.
• Collaborate with project and CADD teams to resolve technical issues and improve delivery.
